The International Scientific and Practical Conference on the European Integration and Transformation of Public Governance in Ukraine was held in a hybrid format on April 19, 2024. The conference was organized and conducted by the Department of Public Policy and Governance, the Department of Public Administration and Public Service, and the Department of Regional and Local Development, the Institute of Administration, Governance and Professional Development, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Co-organizers were the long-standing foreign partners of the Institute - Fachhochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung, Rechtspflege und Polizei in Güstrow, Germany, the University of Gdańsk, Poland, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland, and Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości im. Księcia Kazimierza Kujawskiego in Inowroclaw, Poland.
Liubomyr Pylypenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director of the Institute of Administration, Governance and Professional Development at Lviv Polytechnic, opened the conference.
Foreign partners addressed the conference participants with a welcome speech:
- Prof. Dr. Holger Franke, Professor of Public Law of the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration, Police and Judicial Administration of the State of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania ( Güstrow, Germany);
- Dr. Wiesław Juchacz, Rector of the Higher School of Entrepreneurship named after Prince Casimir Kujawski (Inowroclaw, Poland);
- Dr. Marcin Połom, Director of the Institute of Human Geography and Spatial Management, University of Gdańsk (Poland).
The plenary (English-speaking) session was moderated by Mykola Bunyk, Candidate of Political Science, Associate Professor, Department of Public Policy and Governance, and Orystlava Sydorchuk, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Regional and Local Development.
