In November 2018, a team of students from the Institute of Economics and Management of Lviv Polytechnic together with their curator from the University Tetiana Kulinich enjoyed the inspiring and exciting atmosphere of CFA Challenge Ukraine, which was opened in the concert hall «Oasis» of the entertainment complex «Ultramarine» in Kyiv.
During the Kick-Off Meeting, students listened to a presentation by a Nestle representative, received practical advice from experts on effective research of company capital and future career growth, met with employers and sponsors at Career Days. At this event students were able to communicate with representatives of such «monsters» and «avant-gardists» of the financial and investment market as ICU, Deloitte, Concorde Capital, CIVITTA, D.TEC, NAFTOGAZ Group, KPMG, FinPoint, SimCorp, EY, Genesis, Fractal, PWC, IDEA, PROZORRO and others.
At the meeting there was also an acquaintance with the mentor of the CFA team, whom this year became Yevhen Dubohrys, Deputy Director of the Department – Director of Financial Stability Department at National Bank of Ukraine, Investment Analyst, Head of the Analytical Department of CFS Advisors consulting company.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual, global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Students work in teams to research and analyze a publicly traded company and then write a research report on their assigned company with a buy, sell, or hold recommendation.
