On March 21, students, postgraduates and lecturers of our university got acquainted with the opportunities of academic mobility with universities in Hungary.

For this purpose, Beáta Mühl, an Attaché on Foreign Economic Affairs of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod, a representative of the Tempus Evelin Bariz community fund, Annamaria Cerestech, External Affairs Coordinator of the International Relations Department at the Óbuda University and Paul Rogerson, International Affairs Specialist at the Center of International Programmes at the Széchenyi István University paid a visit to Polytechnic. Beáta Mühl delivered a presentation about Hungarian universities. The initiator of the event was the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod.

At present there is no official cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and these Hungarian universities. However, it is planned that soon Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church, the Óbuda University, University of Pannonia, the University of Pécs and the Széchenyi István University will become partners of our university.

Natalia Gotz, Head of the Center for International Education at Polytechnic, in more details told us about the visit of Hungarian delegation:

- First we plan to conclude framework cooperation agreements. We also discussed the possibility of concluding agreements under the Erasmus programme and scheduled it for the fall of 2019. The agreements will include the training of Polytechnicians: bachelor, master and postgraduate students as well as our teaching staff at Hungarian universities, where they will learn from Hungarian experience. In addition, we emphasized that this cooperation must be mutually beneficial, and therefore discussed the possibility of implementing double diploma programmes.

This is not the first cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and Hungarian universities, but it promises to be more productive than the previous one:

- We have already had two agreements with Hungarian universities, but this cooperation is not active at the moment. We hope that the interest of the Consulate will help us to intensify our partnership with Hungary. The study programs of the presented universities cover almost all the specialities taught at Lviv Polytechnic, says Natalia Gotz.
