Communities 
Students' Professional Board
Students' authorities. The Board of Students, an elective
authority that consists of 5-7 members of the Board, takes an
active part in the proceedings of the Department, representing
the interests of students. The Board appoints designated members
of the Scientific Council of the Department, and works in collaboration
with the management of Lviv Polytechnics and the Student's Trade
Committee.
Public Organizations
The biggest public organization of the Department (and the University)
is the Trade Union of Undergraduate and Post-Graduate Students,
the motto of which is to protect students' rights. Main activities
of the Trade Union Bureau of the Department of Architecture include:
protecting students that require assistance providing priority
allocation of accommodations in the dormitory; providing financial
support; granting 10%-discount vouchers to health resorts, where
students have an opportunity to enjoy healthy food and medical
assistance; providing discounted vouchers to tourist camping sites
"Polytechnic - 1" (in the Town of Alushta), "Polytechnic
- 2" (in the Village Slavske) and those camp sites offered
by other Universities. Working closely together with the Board,
the Trade Union Bureau organizes entertainment for students, coordinates
preparation for the annual festival "Spring of Polytechnic",
plans and manages other University and inter-University events.
Members of other public organizations, such as Students' Community
"LP", UMH (Ukrainian Youth for Christ), AEOEE and others
study at the Department.
